| The
news that Professor Alexander Revenko, one of the fathers of Scenar and
head of the Russian School of Scenar met with Scenar Therapists during
a visit to England with his wife Galina, generated much excitement. The
meeting was duly organised by Dr Zulia Valeyeva-Frost and Guy Beckerlegge
from the Scenar Training Centre at Regent’s College in London. The meeting
was attended by therapists trained by the three main centres in the UK
and the event more that lived up to participant’s expectations.
As the first morning
progressed, during which he described the history of the invention and
development of the Scenar, we were all captivated by professor Revenko’s
warmth, sense of humour and unassuming manner.
Over the three days of
the meeting “Sasha”, as he very quickly came to be called by everyone,
took the participants through A to Z of Scenar therapy. Some familiar
but also new ground was covered, enabling us to witness his absolute mastery
as well as his creativity with the Scenar. He seems to be able to devise
new techniques at the drop of a hat!
The atmosphere at various
times was intense, serious, light-hearted. Subjects covered ranged from
techniques to philosophy and metaphysics. Discussions were lively and
enriching. |
